Nordic VR Forum is held in Hamar kulturhus. The city of Hamar is beautifully located located in the greater Oslo Region by the shores of Mjøsa, Norways biggest lake – less than 1 hour from Oslo Airport Gardermoen and 1 hour and 15 minutes by train from Norway’s capital Oslo.
How to get here
Train from Oslo and/or Gardermoen is recommended. From Oslo Central Station, catch the R10 line at 07.34 and arrive at Hamar station 08.50 (1t 16 min). Then walk 500 meters westwards (approx. 5 minutes) from the train station in Hamar to Hamar Kulturhus (see map).
Otherwise Hamar is close to the main road connecting the souther’n and the norther’n parts of Norway, E6. Arriving by car, you may park next door in the Vestre Torg P-hus or 200 meter away by the big parking space next to lake Mjøsa (“Brygga”).
Arriving at the conference
In Hamar kulturhus the conference will use the rooms Kirsten Flagstad-salen (joint track before lunch and track 1 after lunch) and Multisal Pauline Hall (track 2, after lunch). When arriving, please pick up your name tag at the check-in counter in the ground floor. Registration time is from 08.30. See the full program for the day.
Nordic VR Forum recommends First Hotel Victoria. The hotel is located next to the train station in Hamar and 5 minutes walk from the conference premises.
