How do we design for VR/AR solutions? What is the design elements vital to the effective use of VR/AR in skill acquisition?
She has been awarded the Teacher of the Year award four times from ophthalmology residents in training. She has focused her work on understanding skill acquisition in challenging settings and designing learning environments and educational tools that best support the needs of the students while also increasing patient safety.
Dr Khanna is the founder of A Nu Reality and has authored EyeSim, a stereoscopic, interactive simulator for neuro-ophthalmic skills and anatomy using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technology in collaboration with EON Reality.
Her work in simulation has been acknowledged with an award at the 2017 Society of Simulation in Healthcare annual meeting. EyeSim also was a winner at the 2015 International Laval Virtual.
At the Nordic VR Forum November 2nd she will share her insights on the design elements vital to the effective use of VR/AR in skill acquisition.
